Folding Tensegrity Systems

Folding is a very promising application field for tensegrity systems, whose characteristics are first described. New problems are to be solved to apply folding operations on these systems. Some of them are described in the first part of this communication. The second part is devoted to a folding tensegrity based on an elementary module comprising six struts and on assemblies of these modules.
