A controlling method of transmitters in UWB indoor positioning system based on time division

Ultra wideband (UWB) wireless communication technology has been regarded as a very important way of indoor short distance, high speed transmission. In the paper the system structures and working principles of UWB indoor positioning system are introduced and the basic location principles and realization ways based on TDOA (Time-Difference-Of Arrival) are discussed. Especially, a clock synchronization technique between several transmitters is studied and a controlling method based on time division is presented. At the same time, the realization method is given in detailed. The research is important to improving the precision of the UWB indoor positioning system.
