Digital power system simulators applied to protective relay testing

SJ and DSF digital power system simulators applied to protective relay testing are presented. This paper describes the primary power system being simulated, its mathematic model and the implementation of software and hardware, and discusses the features and advantages of the simulators. The prospect of digital power system simulators is also described.
