rent filter. The explanations are at an advanced level, so users are encouraged to read the references mentioned in the book. Companding theory has been around since the bipolar days. But, since CMOS is mainstream technology today, there is need to design CMOS using the theory. Also, the design is using the subthreshold region of the MOS. Thus, low voltage can be achieved. Such a feature is very important for portable devices, like hearing aids, for which the book has shown working example. Initially, my problems understanding the explanations may be because I was educated in the United States. After reading the book few more times, I started to understand the explanations. The book really explains the design well, however, it is recommend for graduate students with a very strong background in devices and circuit design.
