A novel noise elimination method for PD measurement of on-site MV cable using frequency-tuned resonant system

This paper presents a method for noise elimination when using frequency-tuned resonant system to conduct partial discharge measurement on MV cables. An additional pulse transformer is employed to detect the switching actions and identify the occurrence time. This method is verified through high voltage test on a 10 kV power cable.
