A Fast Watermarking Algorithm for Image Authentication

Digital watermarking technique provides an effective way to protect the image. A novel watermarking authentication algorithm based on ridge let transform is proposed in this paper. Compared with traditional algorithm, it is not only easy and fast, but can distinguish the distortions caused by common image processing with the malicious tempering. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is sensitive and robust. A possible application of the proposed technique is E-Government, i.e. for legal authentication of images routed outside the Internet.
