Seeking agricultural sustainability

Abstract The term agricultural sustainability has often been used to mean maintaining certain conditions. The concept is a multifaceted one involving agronomic, ecological, economic, social and ethical considerations. This review examines a number of methodological approaches to the analysis of sustainability, from conventional land evaluation techniques to more innovative views based on a historical perspective or a co-evolutionary approach.
