Ordering for wavefront optimization

Abstract In this paper, 10 different graphs are associated with finite element models for transforming the connectivity properties of such models into those of their graphs. These graphs are employed in ordering the finite element models. An algorithm is presented for wavefront reduction. Employing the proposed graphs, results in different approaches. The efficiencies of these approaches are compared through examples of different connectivity. Four appropriate graphs are selected for the efficient ordering of nodal three-dimensional finite element models, and the results are compared through some examples.
