A new FMICW algorithm design for range and Doppler estimation

This paper propose a simple new algorithm for the Frequency Modulated Intermittent Continuous Wave (FMICW) radar, which estimates range and Doppler information of target using saw tooth waveform having single slope not triangular waveform having two different slopes. We introduce balance concept in relationship between frequency and magnitude of beat frequency of received target signal, and we extract the target information from the balance equation simply. We perform the error analysis from an implementation point of view and detection performance simulation.
