A Service Strategy Selection in Collaboration Model for the Business Growth of Content Providers

In this paper, we focus on the cooperative service of the content service providers (CSPs) and remodel this problem by analyzing various service strategies in the dynamic collaboration environment from the economic point of view. To this end, we first identify the potential service modes for CSPs under the generic collaboration setting. Then we formulate service strategy selection as a profit optimization problem from the service chain perspective and provide corresponding solutions by designing a strategy selection algorithm. In the end, we simulate our proposal by using the real-world data from Industry and Information Publishing Group. The simulation results show that 1) our service strategy selection algorithm can improve the service profits significantly compared with the fixed λ service strategy; 2) during the business growth of CSPs, delegation service is suitable for the scenarios when CSPs start their businesses or there are considerable unestimated end users; and 3) delegation service is used to the scenario when CSPs have enough resources to serve their high-growth end users.
