Digital Watermarking Algorithm Based on Fractal Image Coding Using Wavelet Packet Domain

A novel watermarking method which uses the fractal image coding technique is proposed. The multiple watermarks are embedded into the wavelet packet domain using the human visual system. The key of the symmetric encryption algorithm is used as the private key. Thus the watermark scheme is of the dual security. Experimental results show that this algorithm overcomes the drawbacks of the gray-level watermarking and enhances watermarks robustness remarkably, and prove the validity of the proposed algorithm.
