Suspension system for lightweight robotic crawler (10) is disclosed. The suspension system allows the attachment of a flexible track (18) thereon. The suspension system comprises a front guide (14) and rear guide (16), the endless track around it can be attached to the ring. Deflector arranged between the front guide and a rear guide (20) in order to form a vertex region, biasing the ground-engaging portion of the endless track downward. Apex region (24) is capable of supporting the weight of the robotic vehicle, to be able to vary the distribution of the load over the ground-engaging portion of the endless track with respect to the support surface.
