Germanate glasses: Removal of OH absorption bands

Abstract Further work on glasses containing germanium dioxide is reported. Particular attention is paid to the preparation of glasses with uniformly good transmission in the 1–5 μ region, and consequently to methods of removing the OH absorption bands.
