VSP Method Using in Near Surface Geotechnology Engineering Stability Evaluation

Besides owning all the functions of the PS log,using the inherent relation of transmitted direct wave and reflect wave,the technique of engineering VSP can characterize the hidden structure around the detected well on the near surface,especially it can be used to estimate the elastic parameter on the frontage of detected hole or cave or to forecast the badness geological body.Thus,the me-thod of engineering VSP is a good method for engineering physical exploration and worth of applying in near surface engineering geol-ogical exploration and geotechnology stability evaluation.We introduce the predominance and main difficulty of the engineering VSP technique in Part I,the acquisition method of field data in part II,and the field data in near surface engineering geological exploration and geotechnology with examples of pratical project in part Ⅲ.
