From OOA to GUI — The Janus System

The demand of usable, ergonomic, Graphic User Interfaces (GUI) from end users is growing rapidly today. On one hand, User Interface Management Systems (UIMS) are used to construct the user interface components. On the other hand, there is a need for representing the problem domain for the future user interface leading to a gap between user interface design and problem domain. The JANUS system addresses this problem by introducing a model using Object Oriented Analysis (ODA) from which a GUI can be almost automatically generated.
