Knowledge Management Tools for Libraries

This chapter provides an overview of knowledge management (KM) tools. Different types of KM tools were identified from the KM literature. KM tools are mostly categorized on the basis of different KM processes. However, we have classified KM tools into two broad categories: (i) Information technology or IT-based KM tools and (ii) conventional or non-IT-based KM tools. KM tools that match the requirement of libraries are discussed along with their implications for libraries.
