The invention relates to an alternating transverse magnetic field driving device with a both-side planet deceleration device for a locomotive. A plurality of alternating transverse magnetic field motor modules are fixed on a motor frame through lifting lugs, a rotor is connected with a sun wheel, and an annular gear at one end of an end stator is fixed. When the sun wheel actively rotates, planet wheels perform a planetary motion, and a pin shaft at the tail part of each planet wheel is inserted into an opening in an axle rim, so that wheels as planet frames are output. Planet deceleration structures beside a left wheel and a right wheel are the same, but the arrangement of the planet wheels differs 180 degrees. The number of alternating transverse magnetic field motor modules can be increased and decreased according to a power demand and space arrangement, at the same time, the low speed torque performance is good, the servo control performance is good, and multiple advanced motor control algorithms can be realized.
