Using PVM in Wireless Network Environments

The PVM (Parallel Virtual Machine) system has been used during the past years in various networked environments as well as parallel and vector computers. PVM relies on a message passing model to federate an heteregeneous computing platform in a very powerfull virtual machine. The development of wireless local area network (WLAN) technologies allows us to build flexible networks which can be configured to operate independently or in connection with a fixed network. In this paper, we describe the study of PVM behaviour over the WLAN technology.
