Error vector magnitude relation to magnitude and phase distortion in 8-PSK systems

Distortion in 8-PSK systems is a consequence of magnitude and phase disturbances. This work investigates the effects of such distortions (either isolated or combined) due to Gaussian bandpass noise, through analytical and simulation studies. Analytical expressions are derived and analytical-based results, relating error vector magnitude to symbol error rate, are contrasted with simulation results.
