The invention is in the field of human-machine interfaces. It relates to a haptic device adapted to generate kinesthetic feedback to a user of this device. According to the invention, the haptic device comprises: ▪ a movable member (260), intended to be manipulated by a user, ▪ an actuating mechanism (220, 230, 240) arranged to remotely generate a mechanical force stimulation on the movable member, and ▪ a levitation mechanism arranged to remotely generate a mechanical force levitation of the movable member, so as to maintain the movable member in contactless balance with respect to the levitation mechanism, the mechanical stress levitation being orthogonal to mechanical stress stimulation.
