Investigating the Effects of Gain and Loss of Esteem on Human-Robot Interaction

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the robot's static and dynamic design experimentally, and to compare the results of this experiment with the findings of the gain and loss of esteem. Here, the static design is about the appearance or configuration of the robot, and the dynamic design is about the trajectories, behaviors of the robot and achievement level of the given tasks. The results showed that the static design did not have effects on the participants' impressions, but the dynamic design did have strong effects on their impressions.
