High Voltage IC with Vertical Current Flow and Junction Isolation

Operation in the high voltage, high current range (above 1 KVA) at reasonable costs requires junction isolated ICs with vertical current flow for the power stage. In this paper VIPower M1 technology is presented: we first introduce the structure and its main features, then discuss both the power stage and the low voltage components main performances.
