Compare developmental profile between children with down syndrome and typically developing matched with cognitive ability under five years old

Compared the developmental profile of children with Down syndrome(N=31) and typically developing children(N=21) under five years old using the measurement adapted from Hawaii Early Learning Profile (HELP) (Corporation, 2004) and Behavioral Characteristics Progression Instructional Activities (BCP), found that children with Down syndrome experienced significant language delay. Socioemotional and gross motor skill ability were found as the strengths for children with Down syndrome, while their self-help and language ability were relatively weak compared to other developmental aspects. Bigger sample size was suggested for the future study.
