A Geographic Flooding Scheme for Air-Dropping and Node-Assembling Applications Using MANETs

The paper proposes a geographic flooding algorithm, maximum distance broadcasting, for a location sinking system within the local mobile ad hoc network (MANET) during parachutists’ airdropping and on-ground assembling procedure. A time division and geographic routing (TD-GR) protocol for this MANET application is presented. Simulations are conducted to verify the feasibility of maximum distance broadcasting and TD-GR protocol.
