Experimental techniques for information requirements analysis

Abstract Techniques are needed to improve the communication between user and analyst in the elicitation of information requirements. In particular, techniques are needed to enable them to work together in formulating and developing a model for the analysis of problems characterized by unclear statement of requirements. Hence, the need for an experimental approach to systems development. This paper describes some techniques and discusses the rationale for their application to the process of information requirements analysis in the context of an experimental strategy. Guidelines to support strategy formulation are provided.
