The Influence of Planetary Geodynamics on the Success of Geological and Technical Measures for the Development of Oil and Gas Fields

Summary The analysis allows to draw a conclusion about the effect of planetary tectonic processes on local areas within oil and gas fields, as a result of which zones of increased fracturing are formed both in carbonate and terrigenous reservoirs.-Planetary forces, acting on tectonic elements of the first order, cause deformations in smaller elements up to the formation of a network of cracks and microcracks within the productive deposits. The resulting network of cracks has a direction consistent with the planetary stresses and is identified as linear zones in the wells with the largest oil or gas production. The obtained information should be taken into account when planning geological and technical measures: drilling, hydraulic fracturing, design of injection wells, etc.
