Joint Tactical Radio System

The Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Joint Program Office (JPO) is developing a software communications architecture (SCA) for a family of radios that will provide voice, video, and data communications to airborne, maritime, and ground forces during all aspects of military operations today and into the 21st century. The SCA is an open, common architecture with applicability to both military and commercial applications. This paper provides an update of ongoing SCA development and validation efforts, and future plans.
