ADENOVIRUS TYPE 3 INFECTION IN BRISBANE

there was a combination of acute cholecystitis and obstructive jaundice; this was caused by impaction of a large stone at the junction of the gall-bladder and common duct, there being no cystic duct at all. When the stone was removed, exploration with the choledochoscope demonstrated the true anatomy beyond all doubt. (x) One patient died of a sudden coronary occlusion three days after operation. (xi) The wound infection rate was 14%.
