Study on Semi-active Suspension Systems of High-speed EMU

The semi-active suspension system of the high-speed EMU was studied. The theoretical analysis, system design, control strategy design, development of semi-active damper and controller prototypes were carried out.Measured uneven track spectra were utilized in roller rig tests and the dynamic performance indexes were compared corresponding to semi-active and semi-passive operations at different speeds. The dynamic performance test on the roller rig was completed. The roller rig test results show that the successful development of the semi-active damper can effectively improve the lateral dynamic performance of the carbody of the high-speed EMU.
