The invention provides a travelling control device for an excavator, which comprises an angle determining device, a sensor and a controller, wherein the angle determining device is used for determining the range of the rotation angle of a rotating table and outputting the result of the determination; the sensor is used for sensing the state of an operating rod or pedal; and the controller is connected with the angle determining device and the sensor and is used for receiving the result of the determination and the state of the operating rod or pedal and, according to the range of the rotationangle and the state of the operating rod or pedal, controlling the driving system of the excavator to drive the excavator to move forward and backward. The travelling control device for the excavator, which is provided by the invention, can make the direction of the operating rod or pedal forward and backward movement control action of a driver consistent with the direction of the movement of theexcavator relative to the driver, thereby improving operating comfort.
