Dual-band printed slot antenna for the 5G wireless communication network

In this paper, a dual-band printed slot antenna for 5G wireless communication application is presented The proposed antenna is of size of 10 × 10 mm2 and is printed on a 0.762 mm-thick Neltec NH9320 substrate with dielectric constant of εr = 3.2 and loss tangent tanδ=0.0024. The design consists of an elliptical slot with a semicircular and a triangular sector radiating patch. The simulated result implies that the designed antenna has dual-band at 30.5 and 41.5 GHz which has a bandwidth 1.5 GHz each. The simulated radiation patterns show that the antenna is directional.
