Narrow Linewidth, High Power, High Operating Temperature Digital Supermode Distributed Bragg Reflector Laser

We demonstrate a hybrid electronic and thermally tuned digital supermode distributed Bragg reflector (DSDBR) laser operating at 50°C submount temperature with 16dBm fiber-coupled output power, >40dB SMSR and full C-band capability. Module power dissipation is <3W for power leveled 16dBm output and operation in 75°C ambient environment.
