Synthesis of transfer functions using an operational amplifier

Realisability theory of passive 3-terminal networks is adopted for developing a systematic synthesis procedure for a general class of transfer functions, using RC elements and an operational amplifier. A synthesis technique is evolved to realise 3-terminal networks which consist of a ? network in parallel with T networks. Useful theorems for such realisations are stated. A large variety of transfer functions of any order, with complex poles and zeros, can be synthetised by this method. Illustrative examples of typical cases are given.
