Eddy-current transients

After giving a general survey on the earlier papers dealing with the eddy currents transients the author specifies his basic 1-dimensional theoretical model. Then the theory of transients both with ideal constant-current source and voltage source as supply is developed. The analysis presented involves the effect of the airgap in the magnetic circuit as well as the effects of the magnetising-coil circuit resistance and coil-leakage inductivity. Certain simplifications are made to obtain a practical engineering method.
