The method for pre-opening the web page comprises the following steps of acquiring the requirement of pre-opening a web page from a current displayed interface, downloading the web page in background, calculating the download progress of the web page, and displaying the download progress of the web page on the displayed interface. When in application, the method for pre-opening the web page enables a user to know the download progress of the pre-opening web page in background without affecting the web page of a current window by displaying the download progress of the web page downloaded in background on the displaying interface, and therefore the user can open the web page ahead of time according to the download progress or control the downloading of the web page.
