H_∞ control for steam-valving system of steam turbo-generator sets

This paper presents the design of H_∞ control for steam-valving system of steam turbo-generator sets with closed-loop regional pole constraint.The solving method utilizing linear matrix inequality(LMI) is illustrated.Simulation and analysis show that the H_∞ controller improves not only the transient stability of power system but also the character for damped low-frequency oscillation.
