“ Multiconductor Transmission Lines and Cables Solver ” , an Efficient Simulation Tool for PLC Networks Development

─ In this paper, we present an efficient tool for the simulation of lines or cables in a PLC network. The presented simulator is based on the transmission lines theory and supports an open library of different types of twoor multiconductor lines and cables used in low voltage (LV) or medium voltage (MV) networks. This simulator helps PLC system designer to estimate at any point in the line (or the cable) and for any given frequency crucial parameters like signal attenuation and crosstalk effect for any wire and any mode of the line (or the cable).
