Eight-cylinder-nested tubular universal damper

The invention relates to building structure vibration control devices and discloses an eight-cylinder-nested tubular universal damper which is formed by nesting of an upper part and a lower part. A square steel bottom plate (1) and a square steel top plate (5) are completely superposed on a vertical projection plane, upper portions of four displacement transmission columns (6) are connected with the square steel top plate (5) while lower portions of the same are connected with a friction lead disc (10) capable of be in friction movement with the square steel bottom plate (1) coated with a damping material within a displacement limiting steel barrel (2), and the displacement transmission columns (6) are welded at the centers of the square steel top plate (5) and the friction lead disc (10) respectively and reinforced by using plate column connecting hoops through rivets or bolts. The eight-cylinder-nested tubular universal damper is used at a foundation position of a building, and can generate friction movement within a set range during an earthquake, and seismic energy input into a building structure is dissipated through friction, so that seismic response of the structure is reduced.
