Scaling The Load Inflicted by a Packet Stream on a Network

For a thorough understanding of the behaviour of high-speed networks, high-bandwidth packet streams are necessary to run simulations with. A considerable amount of these traffic traces is publicly available on the internet today. It would be very interesting though to compare the behaviour of a testing network under different loads, inflicted by packet streams with the same characteristics. By these characteristics, we mean the burstiness of the traffic, and more in general the self-similar behaviour.
