Error Analysis of Algorithms for Evaluating Bernstein-Bezier-Type Multivariate Polynomials

Abstract : In Computer Aided Geometric Design, the Bernstein-Bezier form is the usual way to store a polynomial defined on a triangle. We perform backward and forward error analysis of the de Casteljau algorithm and of the algorithm proposed by Schumaker and Volk for evaluating such polynomials. The obtained results are also compared with the corresponding results for the bivariate Homer algorithm.
