Sensor applications of amorphous glass-covered wires

In this paper, we discuss the main operating principles for the applications of amorphous glass-covered and glass removed wires based on their magnetic and magnetoelastic behavior. We also present three examples of new magnetic sensors based on such wires for magnetic field and torsion measurements which reveal the advantages of using these wires in sensor applications.
