Mobius3D White Paper: Dose Calculation Algorithm

Mobius3D’s dose calculations are conceptually similar to the CC calculations performed in Philips Pinnacle3 software. Both are rooted in the principles of the original collapsed cone research publications from the 1980s including works by Mohan, Ahnesjo, and Mackie. Both have been updated with enhancements based on subsequent research. In general, Mobius3D’s collapsed cone algorithm performs a more rigorous calculation than Pinnacle by making fewer assumptions.
