Analysis of Torque Dynamics forSwitched Reluctance Driveswith Instantaneous Torque

Thispaperpresents ananalysis oftorque dynamics ofswitched reluctance drive systems withinstantaneous torque control. Torquedynamics isuseful information indesigning drive components, i.e. machine, converter andcontroller. When developing aswitched reluctance drive, torque dynamics hasto betakenintoaccount inmanydesign aspects, e.g.switching frequency ofconverters, sampling timeofdigital controllers, torque steprise andresulting torque ripples. Thispaperderives mathematical methods forcalculating torque slope forbothsmall signal andstepresponse considerations. Finally, theapplication of thecalculated torque dynamics indesign procedures ofswitched reluctance drives ispresented. Vd, T~~~~~ lC1 Vd.
