Seismic Response Analysis of Continuous Beam Bridge with Friction Pendulum Bearing

This paper introduces the structure and performance of the friction pendulum bearing.With a continuous beam bridge of 104m main span as a practical example,by means of the nonlinear dynamic time history analysis,a study is made about the earthquake-isolating characteristics of the friction pendulum bearing.The research and analyses show that the continuous beam bridge with friction pendulum bearing has better seismic performance and the research also helps to optimize the structural design of bridges.
