The Speed Stability Criterion of the Rotary Cylinder with Eccentric Load

To determine the influence of eccentric load on the motion of rotary cylinder mounted vertically quantificationally,a mathematic model was built and the simulation results show that the angular acceleration curves of rotary cylinder have distinguishing dual hump-shaped feature. The genetic analysis of the feature was performed. To represent the phenomena, the speed stability criterion was defined as the(second) hump value divided by the first hump value of rotary cylinder angular acceleration curve and the experimental results also verify the rationality of the criterion. The criterion settles the problem on determining the degree of influence of eccentric load on the dynamic characteristics of rotary cylinder quantificationally.
