A New Approach to Perceptual Grouping

I will be talking about a very old problem in visual perception — which goes under various names such as grouping, coupling, organization and unit formation. Theories of such effects have tapped multiple levels of visual processing. My talk will add to what is known about the factors contributing to these effects.
