LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Electronic g factors in Ge I and Sn I and empirical intermediate coupling transformations

The electronic Lande g factors for four energy levels in Ge I and Sn I have been recalculated by an empirical method without assuming the Slater ratio of the term intervals in the p2 configuration. Improved agreement with observation is obtained.
