Control of integrator processes with dominant time delay

A control scheme is proposed for integrator processes with dominant time delay. It contains a local proportional feedback to prestabilize the process, a proportional controller for set-point tracking, and a proportional-derivative controller for load disturbance rejection. The control allows a decoupled design of the load and set-point tracking responses. The tuning of the scheme is simple. Simulations show that the proposed scheme has fast set-point tracking and efficient load disturbance rejection.
