The invention provides a real time statistical system and method for rail traffic network passenger flow based on RFID technology. The system comprises radio frequency electronic tags respectively arranged in ride cards and at the head of a train, RFID readers for reading information about coming-in and going-out of passengers arranged at ticket barriers at entrance and exit of a station, RFID readers for reading information about getting-up and getting-down of passengers arranged at places of a platform for getting-up and getting-down or at places corresponding to shield doors, RFID readers for reading information about pulling-in and pulling-out of the train arranged at a place where the train pulls in and out, an information transmission system and a central processing system. The method is as follows: the RFID readers for reading information about coming-in and going-out of passengers and the RFID readers for reading information about getting-up and getting-down of passengers read data information in electronic tags in the ride cards, the RFID readers for reading information about pulling-in and pulling-out of the train read data information in electronic tag in the train, the information transmission system transmits the data information to the central processing system for processing, and the central processing system carries out real time statistical calculation of rail traffic network passenger flow. The system and the method provided in the invention enable rapid and high precision real time statistics of passenger flow to be realized.
