battery system intended to be mounted in a replacement aircraft of a battery

The present invention relates to a battery system intended to be mounted in an aircraft to replace a battery, said battery of a first type, said battery being adapted to supply, besides a difference in potentials, control signals and data controlling said delivery of said potential difference, said control signals and control data being controlled in dependence on control signals of said aircraft. Said battery system is characterized in that it comprises, on the one hand, a battery of a second type different from the first type adapted to supply a potential difference similar to that which would be delivered by a battery of the first type, and on the other hand, a battery management unit connected to said battery and adapted to generate and deliver control and the same control data signals that would have been delivered by a battery of the first type in the same circumstances and control the delivery of said potential difference, said control signals and said control data as a function of said control signals in the same manner as said first battery type.
